In order to update GP Premium inside your Dashboard, the URL of your domain must be added to the authorized URL list in your account.
We do this for you automatically when activating your license key, but if your URL ever changes (staging -> live for example), you will need to add the new URL to the list (or re-activate your license key in your Dashboard).
You’ll know this needs to be done because you’ll receive the following error when trying to update the plugin:
Update failed: Download failed. Unauthorized
To fix this, we need to go into our account and add our domain name into the list of authorized sites.
First, Log in to your account.
Scroll down to “Purchase History” and find your order. Click the “View Licenses” link:
Next, click on “Manage Sites”:
Now you can remove the old domain from the list, and add your new one.
Update requests in WordPress are cached, so you may need to wait a little bit until you’re able to update the plugin.
